Review of the 17th China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo(CACIE 2016)

Approved by the State Council, the 17th China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo (CACIE 2016) was held in Beijing International Convention Center (BICC) from October 20 to October 22 in 2016 with the theme “Paths to the Cultivation of Talents for Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Partnerships of Schools, Businesses and Society”. Following its tradition, CACIE 2016 consisted of three parts, China International Forum on Education, China Education Expo and Education B2B.

China International Forum on Education
Over 30 sessions and activities were held during at China International Forum on Education 2016, covering 6 areas including higher education, vocational education, basic education, lifelong education, gender equality and cultural & creative art education. The themes of the sessions included cross-border education quality assurance, study in China and student service, school- enterprise collaborations, innovative talent cultivation, etc. Some 3000 people from 50ncountries participated in the Forum.

The plenary session of CACIE 2016 was composed of keynote speeches and panel discussions. It provided participants a brainstorming with brilliant ideas that how education contribute to the sustainable development delivered by distinguished guests of CACIE this year, such as Mr. Hao Ping Vice Minister of Education, P.R. China, Mr. Richard Bruton T.D. the Minister of Education and Skills of Ireland, Mr. Liu Limin, the President of China Education Association for International Exchange. MR. Chan King Wai, Associate Director of Commission of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Tadashi Yanai, Chairman, President & CEO of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd, Mr. Ge Jun, Global Vice President of Apple Inc., Mr. Albert McQuaid, Chief Innovation Officer, Kerry Group, Ireland, Dr. Margaret Gardner, President of Monash University, Dr. Andrew Deeks, President of University of College Dublin.

China Education Expo
China Education Expo (CEE), hosted by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), has been staged successfully for 17 years. As a leading event dedicated to recruitment market in China, CEE continued to provide the direct, authoritative and international platform to meet face-to-face with your target visitors. Last year, CEE toured around Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai, it attracted nearly 600 education institutions from 40 countries and regions. The amount of students and parents attending this event reached to almost 50,000.

Education B2B
Education B2B at CACIE 2016 attracted 51 overseas institutions and 83 Chinese institutions joining the Expo and seminar. The institution representatives exchanged information on the programs for collaboration, received authoritative policy consultation, shared best practices and experiences.
