China Annual Conference for International Education 2014 (CACIE 2014) , themed as ‘Education•Career•Future’ , was successfully held in Beijing on Oct. 26, 2014. This year’s conference focused on personal career development and aimed to provide help and support for talent cultivation. It is a great platform to exchange advanced education concepts and to understand the trend of education development.
CACIE 2014 consists of three components: China International Forum on Education, China Education Expo (CEE) and Education B2B. There were 30+ sessions being organized under the conference and attracted nearly 3000 participants from 50 counties and regions.
The Plenary Session of CACIE 2014 focused on education, career and future. Ms. Jan O’ Sullivan, Minister of Education and Skills of Ireland, Mr. Sani Lawal Mohammed, Rector of African Institute of International Law in Tanzania, and Mr. Zhang Xinsheng, President of China Education Association for International Exchange were invited for speech. In addtion, Ms. Hao Keming, President of Chinese Society of Education Development Strategy, Ms. Fanta Aw, President of NAFSA, Ms. Denise Amyot, Chair of the Board, World of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) , Mr. Paul Kavanagh, Ambassador of Ireland to China and the representatives from Ministry of Education attended the plenary session of CACIE 2014.
China International Forum on Education this year designed total 12 forums and 30 events covering the different educational fields: the International Student Mobility, Cross-border Education, Self-funded Study abroad Service, Higher Education, Basic Education, Pre-school Education, Gerontological Education, Open Learning, Education and City Development, Vocational Education etc. There were more than 200 speakers and 3000 participants attended the conference.
China Education Expo (CEE) opened on Oct. 25 2014 in Beijing and toured in Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shanghai from Oct. 28 to Nov.2. More than 600 overseas universities and institutions from 41 countries, and regions participated in this tour expo. It attracted more than 50,000 visitors.
Education B2B is a newly-established element of CACIE starting from the year 2011. EDU B2B this year included sessions of higher education and vocational education. There were more than 300 universities and institutions joined in the Education B2B.
