2016 International Symposium on Cross-border Education will be held in October in Beijing within the framework of CACIE for the seventh consecutive year. This year, the two-day gala for Chinese and global educators, researchers and administrators of cross-border education will focus on the qualitative and sustainable development of Chinese-foreign joint institutions and programs. It is expected that speakers and participants will look into the untapped potential of the Chinese-foreign joint institutions and programs, which will consolidate the win-win partnership between Chinese universities and their counterparts, and make remarkable contribution to Chinese universities’ pursuit to world class universities and leading academic disciplines. The Symposium will gather about 300 participants representing Chinese and foreign educational institutions, quality assurance agencies, enterprises and government entities. The Symposium will focus on policies, best practices and commonly concerned issues in Chinese-foreign cross-border education. Topics: 1. Contributing to the development of world class university and leading academic disciplines 2. Chinese-foreign cooperation in education reports launch and dissemination 3. Preparation of high-skilled human resourced 4. Report dissemination: A study on Chinese-UK joint institutions and programs 5. Win-win partnership and management mechanism 6.
