Tomoya Yoshioka

Tomoya Yoshioka

 

Born in Tokyo. Doctor of Law (The University of Tokyo). Former President of Rikkyo University. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law, he became Assistant Professor.

In April 1980, joined Faculty of Law and Politics, Rikkyo University. He has led the university's Faculty of Law as Dean and was appointed as President (19th and 20th), leading education and research at the university, such as enhancing the educational environment of students and reforming liberal arts education.

Since 2016, he has made significant contributions to the advancement of higher education policies in Japan as Vice President of Japan Federation of Private University Associations, Chairman of the Employment Issues Conference, and member of the Central Education Council of the Ministry of Education.

In April 2019, he became president of Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).
