China-Canada Vocational Education Forum

Theme:Vocational Education for Sustainable Development
Time:  October 18 13:30-18 17:00,2018

As Canada and China recalibrate their economic models to achieve more sustainable growth, both need to respond to the challenge of developing the requisite technical and scientific capabilities. Underlying the increasing pressure for new models of TVET provision are also the rapid pace of technological change, demand for a workforce more responsive to evolving marketplace needs and calls for lifelong learning.  Jointly organized by CEAIE and Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan), this Forum will highlight trends and prospects in technical and vocational education and applied research in Canada and China, showcase best practices in existing cooperation between Chinese and Canadian institutions, and discuss opportunities for further collaboration.
